The hole is the opening to what was a dry cave system during the Ice Age. When the ice melted and the sea level rose, the caves were flooded, creating what is now a magnet for intrepid divers. Any Teaching status PADI Instructor&lt;br /&gt;working through the PADI National Geographic Dive Center may conduct this&lt;br /&gt;course.&lt;br /&gt;The maximum ratio is eight divers per instructor (8:1) during any open&lt;br /&gt;water training dive, with a certified assistant for each two additional student&lt;br /&gt;divers, to a maximum of 12 student divers.&lt;br /&gt;Considerations for Open Water Training&lt;br /&gt;The National Geographic Diver Specialty course is to include at least two open&lt;br /&gt;water training dives that may be conducted in one day.
